• Some beach walking and possibly road walking.

• 11 AM at the parking lot of the Visitor's Center

• Hiking Trail Distance and Difficulty:
Note: The hike will be from the Visitor's Center to the Northern end of Sandy Hook.
          A pick up car will be required at the Northern end parking lot instead of hiking
          back along the trail.

Coming from Holmdel going north on the GSP:

• Take GSP to exit 142, Rte 78 east.
• Bear right at the toll booths, the two right most toll booths take you to Rte 78 east.
•  Go about 1 mile and take exit 54, Hillside exit.
• Take the first right to Hillside.
• Bear right at the intersection and go over the bridge.
• Immediately after the bridge take a right to Rte 78 west.
• Make no turns or exits until you reach exit 1B (about 15 miles ), Rte 78 west turns into Rte 24 west in about 5 miles.
• While on Rte 24 west take exit 1B, Rte 511, Whippany Road.
• The Lucent Technologies facility is on your right, about 3 miles.
